Instagram Introduces ‘Edits’ App With AI Animation and Advanced Video Editing Tools
Instagram has unveiled a new standalone app called ‘Edits’, designed to provide creators with more advanced video editing capabilities than the platform’s built-in tools. Announced on Monday, the mobile video editing app offers a range of features, including high-quality video capture, a dedicated drafts and videos tab, customizable camera settings, and AI-powered animations.
A Powerful Tool for Content Creators
In a Threads post, Instagram head Adam Mosseri introduced the Edits app, highlighting its goal of catering to users who are passionate about creating videos on their smartphones. The app aims to simplify the editing process by enabling creators to capture high-quality footage, apply precise edits, and export watermark-free videos in 1080p resolution. Additionally, a new tab lets users efficiently manage and track all their drafts and videos in one place.
Availability and Features
Instagram has made Edits available for pre-order on iOS via the App Store, with an Android version expected soon. The app is set to launch for download next month.
