iPhone 16e Lacks Latest Photographic Styles Feature
Apple launched the iPhone 16e on Wednesday as the newest entry-level model in the iPhone lineup. Featuring a 6.1-inch display and the A18 chip, similar to the standard iPhone 16, the iPhone 16e comes with several improvements over the 2022 iPhone SE. However, it lacks some advanced photography features, including Apple’s latest Photographic Styles. Additionally, the new iPhone does not include the dedicated Camera Control button that is available on other iPhone 16 models.
According to Apple’s iPhone comparison page, the iPhone 16e does not support the “latest generation” of Photographic Styles, unlike the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max. While it does feature basic Photographic Styles, which include customizable tone, contrast, and warmth adjustments during photo capture, these styles are simpler and less advanced than those found on the higher-end models.
The iPhone 16e offers notable camera upgrades over the discontinued iPhone SE, including a 48-megapixel main camera and the A18 chip. However, it misses out on the dedicated Camera Control button, which provides quick access to the camera in other iPhone models.
