Adani Group to Invest ₹75,000 Crore in Chhattisgarh Across Key Sectors: CM

The Adani Group has announced plans to invest ₹75,000 crore in Chhattisgarh, targeting sectors such as power, cement, education, healthcare, skill development, and tourism, according to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

The announcement came during a meeting between Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, with the CMO sharing updates and photos of the discussion on Sunday.

As per a post by the CMO on X, Gautam Adani revealed that ₹60,000 crore would be allocated to expanding the group’s power plants in Raipur, Korba, and Raigarh, increasing the state’s power generation capacity by 6,120 MW.

Additionally, ₹5,000 crore will be invested in the development and expansion of cement plants in the region. The Adani Foundation has also committed ₹10,000 crore over the next four years to support initiatives in education, healthcare, skill development, and tourism under its CSR program.

The meeting further explored collaborations in defence manufacturing, establishing data centres, and creating a Global Capability Centre in Chhattisgarh, the CMO stated.

This major investment is expected to drive economic growth, create jobs, and contribute significantly to the state’s overall development, the CMO added.
