At the ongoing National Retail Federation (NRF) 2025 event, Google introduced new AI-powered search and agent tools aimed at enhancing retail businesses. Among the key announcements was the launch of Google Agentspace, a platform designed to help enterprises create personalized AI agents for a variety of automation tasks. Additionally, Google Cloud highlighted enhancements to its Vertex AI platform, including the improved Search for Commerce tool, which offers search functionalities similar to Google’s search engine for website integration.

AI Agents to Enhance Customer Experience and Internal Operations

Google Agentspace enables businesses to develop AI agents that can autonomously perform tasks such as reasoning, planning, and memory-based actions. These agents can provide personalized product recommendations, respond to customer queries, and assist shoppers during their journey. They can also be employed for internal tasks, such as inventory management, customer service, and connecting to third-party tools like Slack, GitHub, and Outlook.

Google Cloud also introduced updates to its Search for Commerce tool, which can be integrated into websites to create enhanced search experiences, helping customers navigate easily and discover products. This tool now includes advanced AI models to support product discovery, alongside the Connected Stores feature, which allows seamless integration of in-store and online experiences, such as browsing a physical store’s inventory and completing transactions.

As these tools are designed for enterprises, Google did not disclose specific pricing details, inviting businesses to reach out to Google Cloud for customized quotes based on their needs.
