The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 are reportedly receiving their first software update since their August 2024 launch. While Google has not officially confirmed the rollout, the update is expected to address several user complaints, including a volume control issue. The new ‘Bud Return’ feature will notify users when the earbuds are properly placed in the charging case, along with providing alerts for battery status, charging, and pairing notifications.
The update, which rolls out in phases, brings the firmware version for both earbuds to 3.144, with an estimated update time of under 10 minutes for Pixel or Android smartphones. The update is also expected to fix disconnection issues and improve overall performance.
