PM Modi meets Diljit Dosanjh, describes him as a “blend of talent and tradition.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently met singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh and praised him as “a blend of talent and tradition.” During their “memorable” meeting, they discussed music, culture, India’s diversity, and the significance of yoga.
Following the meeting, PM Modi responded to Dosanjh’s post, calling it “a great interaction.” He remarked, “A great interaction with Diljit Dosanjh! He’s truly multifaceted, blending talent and tradition. We connected over music, culture, and more.”
PM Modi lauded Diljit’s achievements, saying, “When a boy from a small village in ‘Hindustan’ shines on the global stage, it’s truly remarkable. Your family named you Diljit, and you continue to win people’s hearts, just as your name suggests.”
Diljit replied, “We used to read ‘Mera Bharat Mahan’ (My India is great), but after traveling across the country, I truly understood why people say that.”
Highlighting India’s diversity, PM Modi noted, “India’s vastness is its strength. We are a vibrant society.” Diljit agreed, adding, “The greatest magic in India is yoga.” The Prime Minister echoed this, saying, “Those who experience yoga know its transformative power.”
The singer-actor also praised PM Modi’s personal journey, saying, “I watched your interview, sir. The position of Prime Minister is significant, but behind it is a mother, a son, and a human being. Carrying your mother and the sacred Ganga with you is deeply moving.”
After the meeting, Diljit expressed his gratitude, calling it a “fantastic” start to the year. He shared on X: “A fantastic start to 2025. A very memorable meeting with PM @narendramodi Ji. We talked about many things, including music, of course!”
PM Modi also extended New Year wishes on X, emphasizing new opportunities, personal growth, and collective well-being. “Happy 2025! May this year bring everyone new opportunities, success, and endless joy. Wishing all wonderful health and prosperity,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Diljit recently wrapped up his Dil-Luminati tour with a grand finale in Ludhiana. Throughout the tour, he used his platform to highlight important social issues.
