Threads Introduces Post Insights, Markup Tool, and Scheduling Feature
Meta-owned Threads has unveiled three new features: Post Scheduling, Post Insights, and a Markup tool, enhancing user experience and content management. While the first two features are rolling out globally, the Markup tool will be initially available in select regions before expanding worldwide. These updates come just a month after Threads introduced the ability to repost images without quoting the original post.
New Features on Threads
Instagram head Adam Mosseri, who also oversees Threads, announced the updates, emphasizing that these tools aim to improve user engagement and content control.
1. Post Scheduling
A long-awaited addition, post scheduling allows users to set a future date and time for their posts. Previously, there was no way to schedule content in advance. Now, the scheduling option can be found within the three-dot menu in the composer screen. Scheduled posts will be stored in the drafts folder, where users can edit or delete them before publishing. According to Gadgets 360, users can schedule posts up to 76 days (or two months and 17 days) in advance.
2. Post Insights
The Post Insights feature, now available on mobile apps and the web, allows users to analyze metrics such as views, likes, and interactions for each post. A new Insights icon has been added to the profile tab, enabling users to select a date range and sort posts by views, likes, or replies.
3. Markup Tool
Threads is also introducing a Markup tool, allowing users to add a creative touch when reposting or quoting content. However, this feature will initially be available in select regions before rolling out globally.
With these updates, Threads continues to enhance its platform, offering users greater control over content scheduling, analytics, and creative engagement.
